Superstar Rajinikanth will now appear in two new films. The first is with director P. Vasu. The duo had come up with the hit film Chandramukhi some time back. Rajinikanth will also come in Shankar's big-budget film Robot. A.R. Rahman will score the music for this film with a total budget of 100 crore.

Rajni's film with Vasu is a remake of the Malayalam film Kathaparayumbol. K. Balachandar's Rathnalaya will produce it. Sreenivasan and Mammootty played the main roles in the Malayalam film and Rajinikanth will play Mammoottty's role. The film is likely to be completed by July. After that, Rajni will start work for Robot.
