Three years ago, she was the No 1 actress in Tamil and Malayalam. Marriage changed everything and now the film industry is running a mile away from her. However, the actress continues to fight for a chance.

She will soon return to a TV. When asked if she isn't upset about the way she is being sidelined and de-promoted, she replies in negative. In fact, she is very happy. "I began my career on TV as a compere. It was for Doordarshan. I feel good that I'm returning to the media again. TV has changed a lot in the past few years. It has now become a force to reckon with," she says.

The actress also has another surprise announcement.

"I intend to get into film directing. I'll launch the film soon," she says.
