Hero Gopichand, who has been getting rave reviews for his energetic performance in Ontari (though the movie got a thumbs down from the BO) , is all set for his next film, to be directed by Vasu,a debutant.

Sources say that Charmi was considered initially to play the lead role opposite Gopichand but the latter was more inclined to rope in Priyamani. Charmi, who made a comeback with Mantra, suffered a setback with Sundarakanda, while Priyamani has been inching towards success uninterruptedly.
