It was megastar Chiranjeevi who asked Dil Raju to postpone Parugu for a week.

The film was originally scheduled to release on april 25th but the actor felt that Parugu's release might affect Jalsa's collections.

He was of the opinion that two members of the same family cannot compete with each other in a span that is less than 60 days. The fans of Pawan Kalyan want the film to be put off for some more days to pave way for Jalsa's super hit collections but Dil Raju wants to make use of the summer vacation and wants to release the film on May 1 and had made necessary arrangements for the same.
