Sanda - Hardcore Masala Mix
Director Sakthi Chithambaram leaves no stone unturned in his pursuit to dole out a surefire masala flick. The mix of fights, glamour, songs, sentiments, and comedy could definitely attract a sort of crowd, which doesn’t bother about logic or maturity in film making.
The director has woven together Sundar C’s incredible heroism, inimitable sex appeal (?) of Namitha, unimaginative and vulgar comedy of Vivek, and Nadhiya’s admirable histrionics to get the movie going. - by indiaglitz.com03/24/2008
Sanda Movie Review
Director Sakthi Chidambaram apparently has a clear idea on what he wants to present. He seems to know the pulse of his audience and has come out with a script that will attract every type of audience to the film. So he has once again proved that he is a master when it comes to providing commercial masala.Dhina's peppy songs are elegantly choreographed by Prabhu Srinivas and Nobel. The 'Vaadi En Kappakelange' song and 'October Madhathil' are the pick of the lot.

Sandai Movie Review
Shakthi Chidambaram makes movies purely for entertainment and most often they work. This time the director who had formerly specialized in Sathyaraj starrers has teamed up with Sundar C to provide Sandai. Most of you might be a bit unfamiliar with the title, the fact being that this movie went through a few title changes before finally settling for Sandai, it was originally titled Porukki which didn’t go down too well with Tamil connoisseurs who demanded that tax exemption should not be handed to such offending titles. - by behindwoods.com03/24/2008.
Sandai review
Time and again films pop up to remind women of her ‘duties’. And Sandai is just another film that reinforces the values expected of women by the feudal system. Not only in portraying the pesky heroism, but Sandai goes a step ahead by including sexist lyrics and dialogues.Dhina’s music fades away without making any impression. Sandai is recommended only for those who would love to watch a comedy track. - by tamilmoviereviews.hosuronline.com03/22/2008.
