Reviews
Followed by the grand success of Em-Magan, Mettioli fame Thirumurugan is back again wielding megaphone for another commercial flick that carries the theme of same sort centering on the father-Son relationship. But, unlike his debut movie, Muniyandi Moondram Vizhangiyal shores on the floors of love and power-packed action.
The story of Muniyandi Moondram Vizhangiyal goes this way…
Plot:Muniyandi (Bharath) is a well mollycoddled son of Muthumani (Ponvannan) and Yasodha (Thara). A zoology student at a local college, Muniyandi has a special relationship with his father and Muthumani indeed decides each and every deeds of his son. Such is the father-son relationship revealed here. Certain sequences reveal that Muthumani is so concerned about the care of his son for his elder son died miserably. Though Muniyandi is quite annoyed with his father’s kind of pampering, he goes in with accordance with each word of his father.
Well, he never fails to enjoy his college life with fun and frolic and soon falls in love with his new fresher girl Madhumitha (Poorna). As in many of the films, she happens to be the daughter of a local kingpin Ramayya (L.Raja). But what makes his characterization differ is that he isn’t a filthy arrogant man and everyone in the town loves and respects him. Even Muthumani has a great reverence for this big shot, since he has solved many of his problems on self-interest.
As Ramayaa gets to know about the affair between Muniyandi-Madhumitha and opposes it. Sooner, as Muniyandi approaches her to enter nuptials with him, she goes by her father side. This lands Muniyandi on topsy-turvy situation and out of frustration; he insults Madhumitha by slapping her with the slippers and setting fire to their coconut Groove. As soon as Ramayya’s opponents hear about this, they have Muniyandi roped into their team and make contest in the college elections. During this course of conflict, Muniyandi gets to know about a great mystery that will throw him into absolute shock.
Performances:
Bharath as in his previous film Nepali does a decent job in all aspects of dance, action and comedy sequences. His combo with Vadivelu who performs the role of college attendant and exorcism as his side business is rib-trickling. Debutant Poorna does justice to her role and she is sure to have a great career in Kollywood. Vadivelu is back to the form adding more to the humor part. All the other actors especially Ponvannan and Director L. Raja have breathed lives in to the characters they have played. However, Raja portrayed as a baddie at certain extent looks odd.
Technical:
Vidhyasagar’s music blended with Vairamuthu’s lyrics is a great treat for all. Be it fast numbers or melodious tunes, music directors comes up with an enchanting score.
Final Analysis :
Well, it’s the second time you have Director Thirumurugan hitting bull’s eyes with his eccentricity on commercial aspects and hope he continues to entertain audiences with his forthcoming flicks too….

Vedha - Emotional fare laced with action
Vedha tells you a story revolving around the conflict between the family bondage and love. Though the family bondage overtakes the power of love, the love doesn’t get defeated. The deft handling of the conflict entwined with sufficient dosage of romance and action makes the movie watchable. Director R. Nithya Kumar throws up a few surprises in the narration to make the proceedings interesting. The director has executed the emotional scenes well. The focus of the film, however, gets deviated with too many tracks and twists. The dialogues are sharp in many places.- by indiaglitz.com03/26/2008
Vedha Movie Review
Vedha narrates the story of two affectionate brothers and the elder brother's sacrifices for his sibling.Vedha's plot, based on a real-life incident, is very novel to Tamil cinema. The climax too has an unexpected twist. Debutante director Nithyakumar could have highlighted the significance of such a poignant tale with the inclusion of more rational sequences. For Arun Vijay, the dedicated hero, this is yet another different portrayal.Super Subbarayan's stunt choreography, Vijay Gopal and Satonia's camerawork are good. Srikanth Deva's music offers some soothing melodies.

Inba - Routine love – action drama
Be warned that you cannot expect anything new from the movie. It is just yet another film showing a rich and arrogant girl falling for a poor guy. The teaming up of Shaam and Sneha after a long gap doesn’t make any magic, as the love between them lacks genuine emotions. The premise has potential to be an engaging film. It shows a guy, who has a bitter experience with love during his teen age. The experience makes him cynical about girls and love. But the movie doesn’t move ahead based on this aversion. Instead it relies on a clichéd track of love and action.- by indiaglitz.com03/24/2008
Inbaa Movie Review
Inbaa is about reclaiming your lost life through love. Inbaa (Shaam), who is sent to a borstal (reformatory school for juvenile criminals) at a young age, is released and he decides to put his life back on track.Director S.T. Vendhan has come with a routine storyline and has tried to differentiate his film in the presentation. But did he have to include the initial scenes in the reformatory? Frequent songs in the second half slow down the tempo of narration. Otherwise Vendhan, with his sensible direction, makes Inbaa worth watching.

Inbaa-Routinue love story
The old pair of Shaam and Sneha are together again in Inba after
Aei Nee Romba Azhaga Irukke and ABCD, directed by S.T Vendan, is a dud from the word go.
The basic plot is stale- a love story between a rich arrogant girl who falls head over heals for a tough macho auto driver with a heart of gold, but there is fierce opposition from her "dada" brother, a loony lovelorn guy and his villain brother who is a cop!

Sanda - Hardcore Masala Mix
Director Sakthi Chithambaram leaves no stone unturned in his pursuit to dole out a surefire masala flick. The mix of fights, glamour, songs, sentiments, and comedy could definitely attract a sort of crowd, which doesn’t bother about logic or maturity in film making.
The director has woven together Sundar C’s incredible heroism, inimitable sex appeal (?) of Namitha, unimaginative and vulgar comedy of Vivek, and Nadhiya’s admirable histrionics to get the movie going. - by indiaglitz.com03/24/2008
Sanda Movie Review
Director Sakthi Chidambaram apparently has a clear idea on what he wants to present. He seems to know the pulse of his audience and has come out with a script that will attract every type of audience to the film. So he has once again proved that he is a master when it comes to providing commercial masala.Dhina's peppy songs are elegantly choreographed by Prabhu Srinivas and Nobel. The 'Vaadi En Kappakelange' song and 'October Madhathil' are the pick of the lot.

Sandai Movie Review
Shakthi Chidambaram makes movies purely for entertainment and most often they work. This time the director who had formerly specialized in Sathyaraj starrers has teamed up with Sundar C to provide Sandai. Most of you might be a bit unfamiliar with the title, the fact being that this movie went through a few title changes before finally settling for Sandai, it was originally titled Porukki which didn’t go down too well with Tamil connoisseurs who demanded that tax exemption should not be handed to such offending titles. - by behindwoods.com03/24/2008.
Sandai review
Time and again films pop up to remind women of her ‘duties’. And Sandai is just another film that reinforces the values expected of women by the feudal system. Not only in portraying the pesky heroism, but Sandai goes a step ahead by including sexist lyrics and dialogues.Dhina’s music fades away without making any impression. Sandai is recommended only for those who would love to watch a comedy track. - by tamilmoviereviews.hosuronline.com03/22/2008.
Singakutti - A routine masala to launch a young hero
When a director decides to launch a high profile youngster as an action and romantic hero with a typical and clichéd ‘masala’ film, there is little that you could expect from the film in terms of finesse and content.
Director A. Venkatesh, who is known for formulaic masala flicks, has come out with a story that is split in to two parts as romance and thriller. While the first half deals with the romantic track, the second half is dedicated to the thriller element filled with abduction drama and the bomb threat. - by indiaglitz.com03/24/2008
Singakutti Movie Review
Why is Singakutty special? Because it is the debut film of a young man who has been renamed Sivaji and is the scion of an illustrious line of cinema stalwarts.Singakutty has the thrill and action similar to a Hollywood movie. Director A. Venkatesh's displays his experience and expertise in the narrative. Presented with a novel angle, the incidents progress in an unpredictable manner. We see vibrant heroism and typical action and stunt sequences, yet these do not suppress the story's innate charm.

Vaitheeswaran - Dealing with an eternal question
What kind of movie is Vaitheeswaran? Is it a movie revolving around a young man, who is a reincarnation of a small boy, who died 30 years back? Or, is it a movie revolving around a young man, who operates using his brain and muscles to settle scores with the baddies?
In other words, the movie revolves around an eternal question on the happenings in the world: Does everything happen according to fate or is it human endeavor that causes everything?- by indiaglitz.com03/14/2008
Vaitheeswaran Movie Review
Movie-plots usually meld fact and fantasy. After a long hiatus, we have a film on the subject of reincarnation. Vaitheeswaran's theme deals with this debatable subject without giving a final opinion about the same.Debutante director Vidyadaran is smart; he does not offer a definite opinion about rebirth and related subjects. Careful not to damage public's long-standing beliefs in the issue and also without forcing his support on the subject on non-believers, Vidyadaran leaves the question open for audiences. Depending upon individual experiences, faith and information, audiences can arrive at their own conclusions.

Vaitheeswaran Movie Review
Director Vidyadharan has used the re-birth theory in his film to show it different from that of others, but he has succeeded in only giving a usual good versus bad story.Sarath Kumar is as usual good at his work. Meghna Naidu has shown no hesVaitheeswaran Movie Reviewtation in showing her sexy image. But she doesn’t have much scope to prove her skills in acting.
Srikanth Deva has scored the music. - by tamilfilmratings.com03/15/2008
Vaitheeswaran-Usual story
‘Vaitheeswaran’ marks Vidyadaran’s directorial debut. He has made the debatable theory of rebirth as the veneer to narrate a story of an individual fighting against a powerful politician. Care has been taken not to defy logic by cleverly juxtaposing astrology and human endeavor. This is Sarathkumar’s first movie after he started his own political party.Too many twists and turns in the second half of the film serve only to reduce the impact. There is also an overdose of suspense and tension. The characters of psychiatrists and astrologers in weird costumes have by now become clichéd. The film leaves nothing to imagination. - by cinefundas.com03/18/2008
