Bujjigadu is one of the most awaited films this year in our Telugu Film Industry! Lets see how he fared @ Boxoffice

Plot:Bujji (Prabhas) runs away from Vizag to Chennai after he gets involved in a fight with his best friend Chitti (Trisha) during their childhood. She asks him not to talk to her or meet her for next 12 years and she also promises him that she will marry him if he keeps his word of not meeting her. Meanwhile, Bujjigadu grows and becomes a big fan of RajaniKanth in Chennai and keeps doing any thing for money. After 12 years, he goes Vizag to meet his Chitti and fails in finding her but ends up in a prison due to his friend, Satthi. In the jail, he meets the sons of Machireddy (Kota) and agrees to a deal of 1 crore to kill Shivanna (MohanBabu) of Hyderabad. He finds the deal interesting as it would give him ample money to live a happy life with his Chitti. He goes Hyderabad in search of Chitti and to kill Shivanna, but gets shocked after knowing that Shivanna is the brother of Chitti. So, how Bujjigadu deals with his contract of killing Shivanna and getting Chitti back forms rest of the usual plot.

Performances:

PRABHAS is highly energetic with his dances and action sequences. He looks great in the arrogant character and impresses with his macho looks. He dons the new stylish getup. He is the only saving grace for this other-wise hopeless film. His dialogue delivery has improved a lot and he even succeeds with his Tamil dialect.

TRISHA looks good in her usual modern costumes. She looks glamorous in the songs. Sanjana is impressive in her short role but has not much to do. ALI fails to deliver and Poori fails this time in giving ALI a proper comedy track. MohanBabu is utterly wasted in a short and scope-less role. We can't see any of his usual mannerisms or the strong dialogues/satires except the "Silly-Fellow" word. His usage of English is very annoying in the film. Suneel, Ajay, Subbaraju, etc are OK.

Technical:POORI JAGANNADH has depended on the STYLISH factor once again instead of SOLID SCRIPT in Bujjigadu. It's surprising to see Poori not making a film watchable even after casting stars like Prabhas, MohanBabu & Trisha. We can't find his mark of innovation anywhere in the film except in few songs. But, that will not satisfy the audience in the end. Poori succeeded in giving Prabhas a stylish look and in picturizing few great songs like: "Thalaivaa...!", "Love me...!". His usual strength of punch in the dialogues, hilarious comedy track are completely missing in the film. Few dialogues like following are impressive though: * "Lorry velli Scooter ni guddithe elaa untundho thelusaa?? Nenu ninnu kottanante alaage untundhi...!" * "Nenu okka saari kottina Vandha(100) saarlu kottina same feeling ikkaada...!"

Photography by Shyam K Naidu is first rate with unusual angles especially in songs and action episodes. Even the lighting scheme and the tint used are also pretty effective. The combo of Shyam & Poori has worked out again in Bujjigadu. Editing by Varma is OK and the fights by Vijayan Master are not that great. RR work by SandeepChowta is impressive and his OK-to-hear songs were elevated in the film due to some great work by director Poori & cinematographer Shyam.

Highlights: Prabhas's stylish and arrogant looks, his presence. Few songs were superb on screen. Impressive Photography and Poori's witty dialogues (only at times).

Pitfalls:Loose screen-play and direction, no proper reason for the conflict between Shivudu & MachiReddy, weak love thread between Prabhas & Trisha, boring comedy track by Ali and tooo many action episodes with a lot of Wire-Work.

Final Analysis :The movie starts off on a good note and gives us an OK feeling by interval bang. From there on, Bujjigadu tests our patience with boring screen-play and too much of action episodes without any reason. It's annoying to see Bujji going to his home in Vizag after 12 years and not even concerned about his parents there. The pre-interval fight is very good and the dance movements in the last song were also impressive.

Prabhas's performance, his consistant satirical comedy and few cool-looking songs will surely work in favor of the film but will ultimately not save the film. Poori's over dependance on the stylish factor will surely be a disappointing factor and his inability to build other characters will ruin the chances of Bujjigadu becoming a success.

But, with the hype generated and the mass image of Prabhas/Poori, Bujjigadu might be a safer project for buyers and another boring film for the audience.
