Speculations are rife that Deepika would play the role of Draupadi, ever since the news broke out that Prakash Jha had signed Ranbir for the role of Arjun in the modern version of Mahabharat.

However, it is mere speculation, as the director has not approached Deepika for the role.Meanwhile, Ranbir and Deepika are playing lovers in another film titled Bachna Ae Haseeno.
